How To Fix Broken Network Cable
Now days we are using computer network everywhere,Accidentally your network cables may break, But people think that they can easily join two part of network cable easily, just like electrical cable. And some others may think that they can easily solder network cable. But these are not a valid ways to join network cable because…
Simple joining may not able to send and receive network transmissions properly, Soldering may cause problems. CAT 5 cable insulation melts extremely fast even with low wattage irons. The wires cannot be untwisted more than ½ inch total.
Here are two simple devices which may help you to join broken network cable easily
- Cat 5 Network Cable Joiner- Joint box
Cat5E Network cable joint box has 8 ways connector blocks, suitable for internal joining of network cable, this tool comes with color diagram on Lid for easy installation, cable insertion tool and cable striping blade.
2. Coupler
Crimp an RJ-45 plug on each end of the broken cable and “glue” them back together with a CAT 5 coupler. Black Box and many others sell the couplers. Be sure the coupler and plugs are rated for CAT 5 or 5e and that the plugs match the type of cable.
According to me both devices are is very good to connect broken network cable, and alternative to installation of new network cable.
