Nokia Introduced Self Charging Mobile
Now it is the time to stop search for wall socket and mobile charger. No more telling sweet heart you can’t talk because your cell-phone “battery low”-it soon could be charging itself as you speak.
Now this had been made possible by Nokia, experts of Nokia Research Centre have created a cell phone which is capable of recharging its battery and it can draw energy from the movements and the motion of the one using it.According to Nokia this self charging phone can function with heavy machinery which supporting power frame like radio transmitter as usual as battery. So it equipped with “rail mechanism”. i.e. cell phone can move side wise as usual as horizontally up and down. This cell phone having piezoelectric crystals, when it is compressed by the frame helps to production of electricity due to movement of human or by movement of cellphone.
Nokia’s Primary goal is to create cell phones to harvest about 50 milliwatts of power. Current prototypes can harvest up to 5 mill watts, but at least 20 milliwatts is required to keep phones in standby mode without the need of recharge.
According to me this looks to be a great and promising technology. But Nokia must research adverse effects of this technology on human body and health before releasing in to market.
