LG Electronics Launching 3D-Telivision In India
LG Electronics planning to launch 3D television sets in the Indian Market. LG collaborating with “Valuable Group” media network and going to launch next generation television sets mainly in India. Valuable Group is the biggest media and Entertainment Company in India, operating 1700 cinemas with a 40 percent market share.
What is 3D TV?
A 3D television is a television that works by the principal of 3D presentation, such as capturing stereoscopic object, multi-view capture or 2D plus, and 3D display. So3D display is device to project a television program into a realistic three-dimensional field.
3D TV Sets can operate in 3D mode and 2D mode in conjunction with LCD shutter glasses, by these shutter glasses our eye should see the image being exhibited at the moment, by creating a simultaneous stereoscopic image.
According to LG these 3D television sets would be installed in public locations like restaurants and bars where sporting events are broadcast for viewers. They are planning to showcase some of the ongoing matches from the Indian Premier League in 3D. LG CEO said: “This partnership makes LG the first company to provide 3D televisions to an overseas media company, the key target market in the early stage of 3D TV development. This arrangement will secure LG’s position in the 3D TV market in India.”
