Generally Mac computers like iMac, Mac mini, MacBook, MacBook Pro, all come equipped with Apples Bootcamp software. It allows Mac users to run another operating system like windows vista, Windows 7, on a Mac. But partition is necessary to do this.

Boot camp works just like windows dual booting computer, and it directly install on Mac hard drive. So you can use only one operating system at a time.
