12 Tips to Increase Laptop Battery Lifespan

Many times you wonder why your replacement laptop computer battery dies so quickly and if there are any precautions you can take to avoid this problem. If you care for and maintain your batteries properly, you can easily extend the lives of your laptop computer replacement batteries. It can be frustrating when you purchase a replacement battery for your laptop and after a few months the battery life has significantly declined. This is not what you want to happen. Below are some simple steps that can be taken to ensure that your battery lasts for its maximum potential.
Here is Some Tips which really helps to increase Battery Lifespan

  1. Decrease your laptop screen brightness….lowest level can save your battery power loss, so you can squeeze out some extra battery juice.
  2. Remove external devices Generally external USB devices like Pendrives, mouse, external hard-disk consume more powers, these devices are not crucial so shutdown those devices when your laptop in backup mode.
  3. Don’t use CD-DVD drives while your laptop is running from battery, because optical drives consume more power compare to hard disk.
  4. Defrag Harddisk regularly because after defragging your hard disk  is more efficient in performance, so it consume less power.
  5. Use Hibernate mode If you want to take some rest don’t switch to standby mode, switch to hibernate mode so that  it  will actually save your PC’s state as it is, and completely shut itself down.
  6. Avoid Multitask Running several background programs consumes more battery power, if you are working with spreadsheet ,turnoff other application programs like mp3 players, word processors ,which is currently running in your taskbar
  7. Set power option as optimize Access power options of Windows in your control panel setup is so that your power management is optimized.
  8. Turnoff auto save options Generally in MS-Word and MS-Excel autosave option is enabled by default, it save the document at regular interval, this consumes more power, by disabling auto save option we can save small amount of power.
  9. Keep the battery contact clean If  battery contacts are not clean it wont transfer power in efficient manner, so clean your battery terminals with alcohol once in a couple of month.
  10. Take care of battery Do not leave a charged battery dormant for a long time. Regular exercise is very necessary for long life of battery. If you are not want to use your laptop for more than 1 month disconnect your battery from laptop.
  11. Avoid high graphics while you are in backup mode don’t use high Graphic application or programs like Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Games. And also using your desktop theme as classic theme you can save power loss.
  12. Get More Efficient Laptops now days some manufacturer offering long life battery laptops, get it one.
